Band Notes
Ø
Audition Dates and procedures for 10 - 11 school year:
o 3 taped auditions
left (Sept. 24, October 13, Nov 2) done at school during 1st hr (6:50 am).
o Each taped audition is a 100-point test grade and 25%
of total chair position.
o Etude excerpts were given the 1st
day of school. There are 4 different etudes, one to be played each audition date.
o
Students receiving one zero or two 50% grades for the auditions will not be in a performing ensemble and will be placed in
Cadet Band. They will then have to earn their way into a performing ensemble
Ø
If you have not passed off Star Spangled Banner or the Opener, grades
will be reflected accordingly.
Ø Magazine fundraiser began
Wednesday August 25th. 40% profit ($100 in magazines takes off $40 from your trip payment) goes towards your St. Louis
trip. Fundraiser ends Wednesday September 9th.

Warm Weather uniform is Maroon Polo, black socks, Black slacks (no cargo pockets) and Band shoes. We will be wearing
this at the first football game on Friday September 3rd. Please make sure you are getting every thing in
order.

v Call Time is 6:30 PM in the Home stands at UCO stadium
v
Wear warm weather uniform. You do NOT need hat/gloves
v Everyone needs a
music lyre for stand tunes
v Leadership team and drumline needs to be there at
6 PM
Ø Show Shirt sign up is in the band room. Cost
is $15. Money is due on Thursday September 9th.
Ø
Homecoming Parade is Wednesday October 6th .
o Students
will be excused from 7th hour
o Must be at the away side
of UCO by 3:30 PM (arrange ride now)
o You need a ride to pick you
up at 4:30 at the Edmond Public Library (arrange ride now).
o The
game is on Thursday so practice is on Friday night October 8th .

CODA/All State Sign ups now in the Band Room. Money due Friday September 17th: $10.00
for each CODA Entry, $15.00 for All State (grades 10 - 12 only, $7.50 for doubles). Remember that everyone is working
on this music for their band auditions. It never hurts to try!

Flapjack Fundraiser - All you can eat pancakes. Saturday September 18th 7 AM - 10 AM. Please help support
your Bulldog Band.
Ø Final trip payment is due Wednesday
September 9th: $95 students, $145 sponsors.
